Picton Gazette Express No. 12
To celebrate National Indigenous History Month the Gazette presents Aylan Couchie, a Nishnaabekwe interdisciplinary artist from Nipissing First Nation. Ms. Couchie was a juror for the 31st Annual Art in the County Show Show and Sale, which features 125 works by 88 County artists. The exhibition runs at the Picton Armoury until July 7.
Council has told Hilden Homes it must do better when it comes to its proposed Fawcettville development. Starting with its plan to turn Fawcett Avenue into a construction thruway.
County Transit just might be the County’s best kept secret. The County’s first ever dedicated Transit Manager, Vincent de Tourdonnet, is on a campaign to populate a route that now offers five departures for Belleville every weekday.
The Picton Gazette was unceremoniously kicked off Facebook and Instagram last weekend, for the crime of sharing the news.
The Picton Gazette is now on YouTube. There is a theme song. It’s sort of M*A*S*H meets Get Smart, with a little Mary Tyler Moore for good measure.
