Wellington Dukes owner faces down losses year after year

Almost a hundred people gathered at The Andrew to celebrate the launch of the 2025 iteration of  Prince Edward County’s Chamber Music Festival. Organizer Maureen Dunn and a team of volunteers hosted a lavish party anchored by a special performance.

Culture: Mean Girls

Smash Prince Edward Collegiate Institute production opens tonight!

Prince Edward Collegiate’s production of Tina Fey’s musical Mean Girls features Serenity Fraser as Cady Heron and Alaura Miles as Regina George. Both are natural stars, and each gives an astonishing performance in this not-to-be-missed production. You’ll be saying you saw them when. The two would-be prima donnas battle it out for school supremacy by belting it out in song, accompanied throughout by a stellar supporting cast of 17 players.

Charlie Angus is a bit of a contradiction. He’s a long-serving, superstar politician with a national profile — but his heart is in the small scale, local and grassroots. In kitchen table organizing. Meetings in churches and community halls. How we met Charlie is how everybody meets him. Through a friend of a friend.

The soothing sounds of the Gazette’s piano anthem never fail to cheer. Never mind great beer!

Open houses both days this weekend in an exciting spring market.
