Picton Gazette Express Vol. 2 No. 3
Just a few days before Ford announced a provincial election, our brand new MPP Tyler Allsopp was in town to announce $20 million for our beleaguered highway.

Five major concerns were sounded by the Waring’s Creek Improvement Association at a public meeting earlier this month. Environmental leaders are worried about gains made over 32 years of careful stewardship of the County’s sole cold water creek. The Gazette went to the engineers behind Port Picton Homes’ proposed development on the watershed, Cold Creek, to see how the concerns were being addressed. It’s a bit of a demanding read, but, on some fronts at least, reassuring.
The one-year renovation of the storefront space of the nineteenth-century brick building will continue, to create a community hub event space and full kitchen in the back. The Gazette speaks with HK Agents Carol Love and Erin Lynn Lachance on the exciting days ahead.
