Reading The Gazette — at The Royal
The Gazette is at The Royal Wednesday 26 February at 6pm for a variety show over dinner. Join members of the Gazette team, Mayor Steve Ferguson, writer and columnist Alan Gratias, and Assembly Press’s Leigh Nash for readings of funny and poignant items from the Gazette across the decades, from its beginnings as the Hallowell Free Press in 1830 through the news, commentary, and classified ads of the 1920s, ‘30s, and ‘40s.

It’s Flashback February! There is a Textile Takeover at Macaulay House all weekend. Macaulay House also continues its Historic Textile Arts Residency featuring Bear Epp and Bay Woodyard, who offer workshops in natural dyeing, knitting and rug hooking. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons from 1-4pm all month.
The Grange of Prince Edward hosts Winterlude: Seven Artists in One Studio, supported by Shed at Chetwyn Farms. Saturday 15 February noon to 4pm, admission is free.
Karlo Estates is putting on a production of A.R. Gurney’s Love Letters with a rotating cast featuring Sarah Kirby, David Burns, Pat Larkin, and Liz Simpson. February 14, 15, and 16. Tickets $25. Various times.
The Waring House hosts Family Day Fun Day on Sunday 16 February. Horse drawn sleigh rides, games, food, mulled cider, and fun. Free admission.
Macaulay House hosts a Family Day Making Memories event on Monday 17 February noon to 3pm. Learn how to make a photo book with book binding techniques.
The Waring House is also hosting County Trivia Nights every Tuesday in February in The Barley Room pub at 6:30pm.
