CJ and Megan Thompson were evicted as managers of the Picton Marina in March for, among other reasons, “arrears in rent.” The rent was $1 a year. Now, the County is threatening to seize $1.25 million in new boat slips they built next door. A security camera at the Marina office recorded a staff conversation that suggests why. The County is taking the Thompsons to court — and seeking an Order to have the video destroyed.
The Department of Illumination lit up Delhi all summer long. It all culminated in a spectacular summer pageant dedicated to the history of the park.

Smoking Gun? A key part of the County’s case against the Thompsons concerns a clearly marked security camera outside the Marina launch office produced a “surreptitious recording” of County staff on a site visit they conducted ten days before the couple had been ordered to vacate the premises.
