Oeno Gallery is Lit Up this Saturday 11 October. First there’s the launch of CONFLUENCE, a solo exhibition by Alice Teichert from 4-6pm. Artist remarks are at 5pm. For more than four decades, Teichert’s luminous paintings, often described as “visual poetry," have captivated critics and collectors on the international stage. Her bold palette, curated markings, layered textures and translucent colours coalesce to create remarkable, almost holographic depth. 

In the evening, Lit Up, a festival of light and music outside in the sculpture garden. Three acres of winding paths and over 150 sculptures will be illuminated in partnership with Picton’s Department of Illumination and other creative collaborators. The garden will offer a glowing spectacle of light, sound, and performance.The Aurora Borealis choir, an interactive drumming performance, and Dr. Draw, an electrifying violinist will all be on hand. Tickets are limited. 

Base31 offers a free, family friendly day on Friday 10 October, with the Commissary open to all and live music on offer all afternoon. Free Fairfields pickleball, the Exhibition Hall is open to explore.

Spaces art exhibition with Laurie Gruer, Sam Serrano, and Penelope Patrick runs all weekend. Launch Thursday 9 October, 7-9. County Arts Lab in the Armoury, Picton Main Street.

Wellington Community Market is at the United Church on Wellington Main Street, Saturday morning 9am-1pm.

Prince Edward County Markets hosts the Wellington Farmers Market at the Eddie Hotel and Farm Saturdays 9-1:30pm.

The Picton Town Hall Farmers Market runs Sundays 9-2 at 2 Ross Street, Picton, rain or shine.
