The Gazette is at The Royal Wednesday 26 February at 6pm for a variety show over dinner. Join members of the Gazette team, The Royal’s Sol Korngold, Mayor Steve Ferguson, writer and columnist Alan Gratias, and Assembly Press’s Leigh Nash for readings of funny and poignant items from the Gazette across the decades, from its beginnings as the Hallowell Free Press in 1830 through the news, commentary, and classified ads of the 1920s, ‘30s, and ‘40s.

It’s Flashback February! 99.3 CountyFM presents A Listening Party on Saturday 22 February at 1pm at Macaulay House, 23 Church St., Picton.

Project Coordinator, Peter Lockyer has helped the CountyFM research team uncover over 20 stories never heard on the radio before. Five researchers select one story each, tell why they chose it, and how they turned it into a new radio vignette — and then play the audio. A sneak preview of CountyFM’s new series of 20+ stories launching soon. Listening stations set up for individual listening. Snacks available. Tickets are $15, kids are free.

On Sunday 23 February from noon to 5pm, visit the Lancaster Bomber at Base31. Fly back in time to discover the fascinating history of 1 of 17 surviving WWII Lancaster Bombers. On the hour every hour, a guided 45-minute tour of Lancaster Bomber KB 882 starts with Museum Curator, Madeline Smolarz, who shares unforgettable stories from the aircraft’s 81-year life in the historic setting of Hangar 1. Tickets are $20.

BigLake’s Dior Quartet is at the Drake Devonshire tonight, Thursday the 20th, at 5:30pm.
