CountyStage presents Monks July 2-4 8pm at the Red Barn at The Eddie. Opening night sold out but tickets still available for Friday and Saturday. The monks in a hilltop monastery have always lived in total isolation. When the Abbot ventures into town, two medieval Brothers take the opportunity to invite a wagon full of strangers to their austere abode. Trying to complete their tasks of counting lentils, caring for their donkey, and keeping the monastery standing becomes the quest of a lifetime. Tickets $40.
Oeno Gallery’s Sculpture Garden Party. Saturday July 4 3-6pm. Free and family friendly. Meet gallery artists, dance to the music of Cue the Funk, and enjoy delicious offerings food and wine. Art pop-ups presented by Common Grounds PEC, featuring guest artists Storied Textiles and Hannah Melnyk Makes Studio. Visitors will be invited to participate in a zine-making station, workshops, and an interactive booth where guests can get a hands-on feel for traditional spinning and learn about local textile arts.
County Arts presents Art in the County juried art show and sale. Showcasing over 100 works in a wide range of media, including watercolour, acrylic, oil, and encaustic paintings, sculpture, textiles, wood, photography, ceramics, glass, and more. At the Arts Lab in the Armoury, 206 Picton Main.
