Picton Gazette Express: Vol. 3 No. 6
We are thrilled to present our first-ever Heritage issue, in partnership with the County Museums. It is jammed with things to do and things to know about the County during Flashback February.
The Chamber of Commerce’s Business Excellence Awards celebrated local business in style. Big winners were CountyFM, County Kids Read, The Royal Hotel, Serendipity Yoga and Wellness, Lighthouse Tutoring, and Campbell’s Orchards.
The report describes criteria for and examples of built and cultural heritage, including landscapes and vistas, throughout the County. Categories include Indigenous landscapes, lighthouses, fishing, agricultural heritage, and transportation routes.
The Belleville house of Susanna Moodie, the British-born chronicler of settler life in Canada, is preparing to open its doors as an institution for arts and culture
Ian Chodikoff describes practical tools to inspire the efforts of Council, business, arts, and community leaders to both maintain and champion the County’s authenticity.
Chris loves the Heritage Issue. Really a lot. He can’t stop talking about it.
